Accessibility
Overview
At Northwest DPC & Headache Clinic, we respect the dignity and independence of every patient, visitor, and guest. We are committed to providing full and equal access to all individuals who use our facility and website.
Here’s what you can expect from us:
Communication
We are committed to effectively communicating with our guests. We provide, at no charge, auxiliary aids and services which are reasonably necessary to achieve effective communication. We accept Operator Relay Service calls, and Teletypewriter (TTY/TDD) calls through 711, in the same manner as traditional telephonic channels.
Website Accessibility
We strive to design and update our website using current standards that allow full and equal access for individuals with disabilities. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our team is continuously improving the accessibility of online content so all visitors can easily find information and connect with us.
Assistive Devices
Patients and guests are welcome to use their own personal assistive devices when accessing care at our clinic. If a particular device or technology is not compatible with our facility, we will work with you to provide access through reasonable alternative measures.
Companions and Service Animals
Companions, guide dogs, and other service animals are welcome to accompany patients & guests with disabilities while visiting our clinic as long as the dog behaves. When requested, our staff will provide sensitive, respectful, and discreet personal assistance.
Temporary Interruptions
If we are ever unable to offer a service or facility that supports accessibility, we will provide immediate notice of the interruption & share the anticipated timeline for resuming the service
Training
Our team receives ongoing training to ensure that we communicate effectively, provide assistance with respect and sensitivity, and meet the needs of patients with disabilities.
Modifications of Procedures or Policies
We will make reasonable modifications to our policies or procedures when it is necessary to provide our customers and guests with full and equal access to our facility, website or communications channels.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of content on our website. If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, speech recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking may help you navigate web pages and online services, although this may be of expense to the user. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.
Feedback
We welcome and encourage feedback on accessibility. We truly want to provide our patients as good of an experience as possible.
